Burberry Prorsum show
Burberry Prorsum fashionshow always is among the ones that keep touching my heart and making me feel goosebumps: I still don’t know if the big difference, in addition to Christopher Bailey’s wonderful creations, is the music chosen, the location full of light, the beautiful models representing the brand or that British heritage that Burberry owns in its soul and always manages to show with pride.
This time, in addition to the show (that I suggest you to re-watch here) I had the chance to see all the show preparation from the backstage: the main characters were the new products by Burberry Beauty, used on all the models.
I saw all Cara Delevingne’s, Jourdan Dunn’s and Karlie Kloss’ preparation: from makeup to hair, going through the beautybooth, a real phone cabine to take photos before the show.

La sfilata di Burberry Prorsum è una di quelle che riesce sempre ad emozionarmi e a farmi venire la pelle d’oca: ancora non so se a fare la differenza, oltre naturalmente alle creazioni di Christopher Bailey, è la musica scelta, la location sempre luminosa, le splendide modelle che rappresentano il brand o quell’heritage cosi British che Burberry ha nell’anima e riesce sempre a mostrare con orgoglio.
Questa volta, oltre allo show (che vi consiglio di rivedere qui) ho avuto l’opportunità di assistere alla preparazione della sfilata dal backstage: i protagonisti erano i nuovi trucchi di Burberry Beauty, con cui sono state truccate tutte le modelle.
Ho seguito tutta la preparazione di Cara Delevingne, Jourdan Dunn e Karlie Kloss: dal trucco ai capelli, passando per il beautybooth, una vera e propria cabina per fare fotografie prima dello show.

In Burberry Prorsum for Milano Men’s fashionweek
At Burberry Prorsum fashionshow, last September in London, I couldn’t keep my eyes off from the collection on the catwalk: there were way too many stunning items.
For my first day of Men’s fashionweek in Milan, for Ermenegildo Zegna and Burberry Prorsum shows, I wore one of those wonderful outfits: a Burberry Prorsum total look, from spring/summer 2013 collection. What do you think about it?
Alla sfilata di Burberry Prorsum, lo scorso Settembre a Londra, non riuscivo a distogliere gli occhi dalla collezione in passerella: troppi erano i capi che mi stuzzicavano.
Per il primo giorno di settimana della moda maschile di Milano, per le sfilate di Ermenegildo Zegna e Burberry Prorsum, ho indossato proprio una di quelle opere d’arte: un total look Burberry Prorsum della collezione primavera/estate 2013. Che ve ne pare?

It might be because I haven’t stopped in London for more than three days for years, or because I’m finally coming back to the city next week for work… I really wanted to wear this Union Jack dress I received a couple of months ago: tried to style it in the London mood for sure, wearing booties from my favourite English brand of all. Yes, after a paradisiac Los Angeles I came back for four days to the cold and grey Milano for some meetings and delicious Christmas dinners with friends and some partners and sponsors. How am I going to celebrate Christmas? Divided between my family and Richie’s parents, waiting to leave for the mountains with Matilda and friends: I will finally ski again!
For these busy but glamorous days I wanted to give a precious twist to my look, wearing of the iconic jewels of Chantecler: the maxi charm necklace, that I mixed with a black and white outfit with the details of the red coat and leopard bag. Isn’t the jewel a dream?
Ebbene si, dopo la paradisiaca Los Angeles sono tornata per quattro giorni alla fredda e grigia Milano per vari meeting, appuntamenti e deliziose cene di Natale tra amici e partner lavorativi. Come festeggerò il Natale? Divisa tra la mia famiglia e quella di Richi, per poi partire per la montagna con Matilda ed alcuni cari amici: finalmente si scia!

The day I met (and interviewed) Christopher Bailey
More or less one month ago I had the chance to live the Burberry world.
For the opening of the new Womenswear store in via Montenapoleone I have chosen my favourite items from the Burberry A/W 2012 collection designed by Christopher Bailey, wear them and have some photos taken from my “trusted photographer” (in this case from my boyfriend/”partner in crime” Riccardo Pozzoli) in some iconic locations in Milan, my hometown.
You saw the photos on the blog (find them here) and I’m so happy to see how much you loved them.
What you don’t know (maybe some of you found out about it following my Instagram profile) is that I had the chance to interview one of my fashion heroes: Christopher Bailey, Burberry creative director.
Got back in Milan from Paris just in time (the late flight was making me miss this huge chance), I entered the room of the new store ready to interview him, feeling happy but also nervous. Why? Because Christopher Bailey has always given me the idea of being one of those positive characters in the fashion world: down to earth, creative, nice, full of energies and always smiling. My fear was to find in front of me a person who was different from my expectations.
Well, it was the opposite: after the twenty minutes we spent talking I was almost looking at him as a wise new friend, one of those friends you can learn a lot from and you’re so fascinated by. Someone who understood the power of the web before anyone else, that met the Burberry world thanks to his grandad’s trench coat and someone who loves talking about the Burberry Foundation he created.

Circa un mese fa ho avuto la possibilità di immergermi nel mondo Burberry.
In onore dell’apertura del nuovo store a Milano in via Montenapoleone mi è stato chiesto di scegliere i miei look preferiti della collezione autunno/inverno 2012 di Burberry disegnati da Christopher Bailey, indossarli e farli immortalare dal mio “fotografo di fiducia” (in questo caso il mio fidanzato/”partner in crime” Riccardo Pozzoli) in alcune location iconiche di Milano, mia città d’adozione.
Le foto le avete visto sul blog, (le trovate qui) e sono entusiasta nel sapere che vi siano piaciute molto.
Quello che non sapete (alcuni di voi probabilmente hanno scoperto lo “scoop” sul mio profilo di Instagram) è che il giorno del party di apertura dello store mi è stata la possibilità di intervistare uno dei miei eroi nel mondo della moda: Christopher Bailey, direttore creativo di Burberry dal 2009 (ma legato al mondo Burberry dal 2001).
Tornata appena in tempo dal mio viaggio a Parigi (l’aereo in ritardo mi ha fatto quasi perdere questa chance), sono entrata nella stanza del nuovo store pronta ad intervistarlo tremendamente felice ma anche agitata. Perché? Perché Christopher Bailey mi ha sempre dato l’impressione di essere uno di quei personaggi veramente positivi della moda: alla mano, creativo, simpatico, sorridente, pieno di energie. La mia paura era quella di trovarmi di fronte ad un personaggio diverso dalle mie fantasie, e rimanerne in parte delusa.
Bene, è stato l’esatto contrario: dopo i venti minuti insieme a parlare mi sembrava di fare discorsi con un nuovo amico, uno di quegli amici saggi da cui sai di poter imparare molto, da cui rimani affascinata. Una persona che prima di tutti gli altri ha compreso il potere del web, che ha conosciuto Burberry grazie al trench coat del nonno e che si emoziona parlando della Burberry Foundation da lui creata.

You all know about my love for Burberry and for the work done for the brand by Christopher Bailey.
You can imagine my excitement when I found out about the opening of the new Womenswear store in via Montenapoleone.
I have chosen my favourite items from the Burberry A/W 2012 collection designed by Christopher Bailey, wear them and have some photos taken from my “trusted photographer” (in this case from my boyfriend/”partner in crime” Riccardo Pozzoli) in some iconic locations in Milan, my hometown.
This is the first of a series of outfits shot together: I chose to wear the fantastic Orchard bag and Burberry Field Boots, having my look completed by Burberry Beauty makeup.

Burberry Prorsum fashionshow and my Burberry look
Milan fashionweek started yesterday and I’m running all day between fashionshows, events and presentations: I’ll start posting about it from tomorrow, sorry If I’m late You can always follow me live on Instagram and Twitter!
Here are the photos from last Monday in London: a very special day, the day of Burberry Prorsum fashionshow. A lot of you watched it live on The Blonde Salad (If you want to see it again here on the blog you’ll find the official video) and I can assure you that being there was even more touching. Christopher Bailey managed to surprise me again: all the fashionshow was perfect. From the soundtrack (should we talk about Walk On by Ren Harvieu?) to the selection of colours, shiny and metallic, to the unexpected shapes of capes and corset tops to the use of leather lace, metallic silk and plastic. I’m dreaming about all the looks
For the fashionshow I wore an “almost” total look: the sweater, jacket and booties by Burberry Prorsum (winter collection) with my loyal Prada travel bag. I want to know all your opinions!
La fashionweek di Milano è iniziata ieri ed io sono tutto il giorno in giro per sfilate e presentazioni: comincerò a parlarvene da domani, scusate il ritardo Potete sempre seguirmi in diretta su Instagram o Twitter!
Ecco invece le foto di lunedi scorso a Londra: un giorno molto speciale, quello della sfilata di Burberry Prorsum. Molti di voi l’hanno vista live su The Blonde Salad (se volete rivederla qui sul blog trovate il video ufficiale) e vi posso assicurare che di persona il tutto è stato ancora più emozionante. Christopher Bailey è riuscito a stupirmi ancora una volta: tutto il fashionshow era perfetto. Dalla colonna sonora (vogliamo parlare di Walk On di Ren Harvieu?) alla selezione dei colori, scintillanti e metallizzati, dalle forme insolite di mantelle e top con corsetti all’uso di materiali quali pizzo in pelle, seta metallizzata e plastica. Sto sognando praticamente tutti i look che hanno sfilato
Per la sfilata ho indossato un “quasi” total look: maglione, giacca e scarpe di Burberry Prorsum (collezione invernale), insieme alla mia fedele borsa Prada da viaggio. Voglio sapere cosa ne pensate!

Since I tried the same service with another Kelly bag of mine (the burgundy one), a mini red Chanel bag and my grey Balenciaga I can assure you It's gonna look like you own new bags (even If I'm afraid the service is only available in Italy) :)
Dopo i look più ricercati della settimana della moda di New York e Milano mi sto godendo gli ultimi giorni in Italia prima di ripartire per la fashionweek parigina indossando outfit casual e comodi: quello di ieri ne fa sicuramente parte.
Un grazie particolare per aver riportato in forma la mia Kelly 35 biscotto a Spa4bag, uno dei servizi più comodi che abbia mai provato per ridare vita alle mie borse malridotte dal tempo: questa Kelly, comprata vintage la scorsa estate aveva un manico ridotto malissimo, che è stato prontamente cambiato. Avendo provato lo stesso servizio con un'altra Kelly bag (quella burgundy), una mini Chanel rossa e la mia Balenciaga grigia vi posso assicurare che vi sembrerà di possedere borse nuove :)

And, after Werelse for Mango big news, my look of Milan fashionweek day 1 couldn't avoid being uploaded. I wore it for Gucci and Alberta Ferretti fashionshow and to be a host again of Platinette show on Radio Deejay and Deejay tv (but I'm gonna talk you about all these tomorrow).
I wanted to try something different, trying unusual lenghts compared to the ones I usually wear: this season 50s are back and my look was going in that direction :) The dress with the pleated skirt is from Alberta Ferretti new collection, the trench is my Burberry passepartout, the clutch is Marc Jacobs and glitter shoes are from Louboutin. What's your idea about it?

E, dopo la grande notizia di Werelse for Mango, non poteva mancare il look del primo giorno di fashionweek milanese, che ho indossato per le sfilate di Gucci e di Alberta Ferretti e per presenziare nuovamente alla trasmissione di Platinette su Radio Deejay e Deejay Tv (ma di tutti questi avvenimenti vi parlerò domani).
Ho voluto provare qualcosa di diverso, puntando su lunghezze inusuali rispetto a quelle a cui sono abituata: questa stagione gli anni '50 tornano prepotentemente ed il mio look andava proprio in quella direzione :) L'abito con gonna plissettata è della nuova collezione di Alberta Ferretti, il trench è il mio passepartout di Burberry, la clutch è di Marc Jacobs e le scarpe glitterate di Louboutin. Cosa ve ne pare?

Snow on our terrace
When you wake up and you discover that, for the first time since you've lived in the new appartment, the terrace is completely covered by snow the options are two: looking at the result from the window or playing snowballs with boyfriend and doggie. And of course shooting some photos as a good blogger would do. Which option do you think I chose?
P.S: The original look should have been with different shoes and wearing tights but, for 10 minutes in the terrace, I prefered avoiding them: is this part of the fashion blogger syndrome as well?
P.P.S: Do I look like a maniac in the first photo?
Quando ti svegli e scopri che, per la prima volta da quando abiti nella tuo nuovo appartamento, la terrazza è completamente ricoperta di neve le opzioni sono due: guardare il risultato compiaciuta dalla finestra o fare a palle di neve con fidanzato e cagnolina. E naturalmente scattare qualche foto per documentare il tutto da brava blogger. Indovinate quale opzione ho scelto?
P.S: Il look originale prevedeva scarpe diverse e soprattutto collants ma, per stare 10 minuti in terrazza, ho preferito evitarle: anche questo fa parte della sindrome da fashion blogger?

Hugo Boss fashionshow in Berlin
The Hugo Boss show, my first show of the Berlin fashion week, give a really good impression of the german fashion.
On the red carpet before the show started there were a lot of vips: from Julianne Moore to Rupert Everett, from Jared Leto to Pixie Geldoff.
The pieces were black and white at the beginning, with very clean and rigorous cuts they started to be colorful as orange, pink and violet (especially for man).
I was impressed especially by some pieces with leather details and chromatic prints, that I hope to wear soon on my outfits. And talking about looks, this is what I chose for the fashionshow: I decided to mix leopard and burgundy jeans again, after I loved it in Barcelona. It was a pity that the rain ruined a bit the quality of the photos.
Berlin It was nice seeing you!
La sfilata di Hugo Boss, la mia prima sfilata nella settimana della moda berlinese, mi ha lasciato un'immagine assolutamente positiva della moda tedesca.
Sul red carpet prima dell'inizio dello show tantissimi vip: da Julianne Moore a Rupert Everett, da Jared Leto a Pixie Geldoff.
Dopo un inizio in bianco e nero, i capi dai tagli puliti e un po' rigorosi hanno piano piano cominciato ad accendersi sui colori arancio, rosa e viola (soprattutto per l'uomo).
Mi hanno colpito particolarmente alcuni capi dai dettagli in pelle e le stampe cromatiche, che spero di riproporre presto tra i miei outfit. A proposito di look, questo è quello che ho indossato per la sfilata: ho voluto riprovare il mix leopardato e jeans color burgundy che mi era piaciuto indossare a Barcellona, peccato per la pioggia che non ha reso totale giustizia alle foto.
E'stato bello rivederti Berlino!

LOOK OF THE DAY "FLORENCE 2"
The trip to Florence seems like a million light years ago but I still have more Style Lab pics to show you. This time I chose an outfit that was more me, in fact, I really think this look fits my style head to toe, although I have to say that walking around Florence wearing those amazing yet extremely high Giuseppe Zanotti heels was both eye catching and dangerous.
For some reason, few people find it shocking to see a tall girl wearing high heels but as my fashion motto is; "If you like it, wear it", it doesn't really matter what anybody else thinks and yes, I am 1.80cm without any shoes on, but I love high heels so If you ever wonder why do I wear such high heels being so tall, my answer would be, why not? ;)
Parece que el viaje a Florencia fue hace 1000 años luz pero yo sigo con mas fotos para enseñarles . Estas fotos son del evento de Firenze4ever y para este look, escogí algo mas "Andy" y siento que este si es mi estilo completamente.
Tengo que confesar que andar caminando por Florencia (o cualquier otra parte) con esos taconazos de Giuseppe Zanotti fue todo un show y es que me divierte el ver la reacción de algunas personas cuando ven a una mujer alta y de paso con tacones de ese calibre.
Yo siempre he dicho: "Si te gusta, ¡Pontelo!", no importa lo que piensen los demás y si, mido 1.80 sin zapatos, pero me fascinan los tacones así que cuando me preguntan; "Andy, ¿Por que usas tacones siendo tan alta?, mi respuesta siempre sera: ¿Por que no? ;)

My look for Men Fashion week Milan
On Saturday Milan men fashionweek started and, even If I'm definitely more interested in women fashionshows, I couldn't say no to 2 invites in particolar: Ermenegildo Zegna and Burberry. In the first fashionshow I loved the classic elegance of every piece: I was having fun portraying all the looks on my boyfriend and I adored the combination of patterns, the perfect fitting of the sartorial suits and the tartan turnup of the jeans.
After a lunch with my friend Maui that I haven't seen since my first business trip in New York for Benetton, in April 2010, I went to have a look at the Corto Moltedo store, where one of my closest friends Ludivine has been working for some months. Among all the lovely clutches (at the entrance there is a whole wall of clutches) I had to choose among two different models, but I opted for the snake black one, which is gonna become my night must.
In the afternoon then I attended the Burberry fashionshow which never disappoints me and that I liked even more than the one in June: on the catwalk the trenchs, montgomery, extralarge field jackets, short bombers and wonderful accessories, from studded document holders to collage umbrellas with animals' handles. The main theme was "Gentleman", with strong recalls from the brand's origins.
My look was created by pieces of two friends of mine and great designers: MSGM dress (I've just received my order from the Cruise collection that you're gonna love) and Diego Dolcini shoes. And yes, I didn't forget to tell you about the bag: the Hermes Kelly bag from the 80s that you see at my arm in these photos :) After a lot of researchs I found it thanks to a french follower of the blog, who decided to sell it to me: such a classic and timeless piece, and all thanks to the blog!
Sabato è iniziata la settimana della moda maschile di Milano e, sebbene io sia molto più interessata alle passerelle femminili, non ho potuto dire di no a due inviti in particolare: quello di Ermenegildo Zegna e quello di Burberry. Nella prima sfilata ho apprezzato l'eleganza senza tempo di ogni capo: mi divertivo ad immaginare ogni completo addosso al mio fidanzato e ho trovato geniale l'accostamento dei materiali, il fitting perfetto degli abiti sartoriali ed il risvolto dei jeans in tartan.
Dopo un pranzo insieme al mio amico Maui che non vedevo dai tempi del mio primo viaggio di lavoro, a New York per Benetton ad aprile 2010, sono andata a dare un'occhiata allo store di Corto Moltedo, dove da qualche mese lavora una delle mie più care amiche, Ludivine. Tra tutte le meravigliose clutch (all'entrata c'è un muro di pochette) ero molto indecisa tra due modelli, ma ho optato poi per la clutch in serpente nero, che diventerà un must delle mie serate.
Nel pomeriggio ho poi assistito alla sfilata di Burberry che non delude mai e che mi è piaciuta maggiormente di quella di giugno: in passerella trench monopetto, montgomery con chiusure da valigia, giacche field extralarge e corte da equitazione trapuntate, bomber corti e degli accessori da urlo, dalle borse portadocumenti borchiate agli ombrelli in stile collage con il manico formato da teste di animali. Predominante il tema "Gentleman", con chiari richiami al luogo d'origine del brand.
Il mio look era formato da capi di due miei amici e grandi stilisti: il vestito di MSGM (ho appena ricevuto il mio ordine della collezione Cruise che adorerete) e le scarpe di Diego Dolcini. Eh si, non ho dimenticato di parlarvi della borsa: la Kelly nera di Hermes degli anni'80 che mi vedete al braccio in queste foto :) Dopo tante ricerche l'ho trovata grazie ad una mia follower francese, che ha deciso di vendermela: un classico intramontabile, e tutto grazie al blog!

On Saturday Milan men fashionweek started and, even If I'm definitely more interested in women fashionshows, I couldn't say no to 2 invites in particolar: Ermenegildo Zegna and Burberry. In the first fashionshow I loved the classic elegance of every piece: I was having fun portraying all the looks on my boyfriend and I adored the combination of patterns, the perfect fitting of the sartorial suits and the tartan turnup of the jeans.
After a lunch with my friend Maui that I haven't seen since my first business trip in New York for Benetton, in April 2010, I went to have a look at the Corto Moltedo store, where one of my closest friends Ludivine has been working for some months. Among all the lovely clutches (at the entrance there is a whole wall of clutches) I had to choose among two different models, but I opted for the snake black one, which is gonna become my night must.
In the afternoon then I attended the Burberry fashionshow which never disappoints me and that I liked even more than the one in June: on the catwalk the trenchs, montgomery, extralarge field jackets, short bombers and wonderful accessories, from studded document holders to collage umbrellas with animals' handles. The main theme was "Gentleman", with strong recalls from the brand's origins.
My look was created by pieces of two friends of mine and great designers: MSGM dress (I've just received my order from the Cruise collection that you're gonna love) and Diego Dolcini shoes. And yes, I didn't forget to tell you about the bag: the Hermes Kelly bag from the 80s that you see at my arm in these photos :) After a lot of researchs I found it thanks to a french follower of the blog, who decided to sell it to me: such a classic and timeless piece, and all thanks to the blog!

Nella prima sfilata ho apprezzato l'eleganza senza tempo di ogni capo: mi divertivo ad immaginare ogni completo addosso al mio fidanzato e ho trovato geniale l'accostamento dei materiali, il fitting perfetto degli abiti sartoriali ed il risvolto dei jeans in tartan.
Dopo un pranzo insieme al mio amico Maui che non vedevo dai tempi del mio primo viaggio di lavoro, a New York per Benetton ad aprile 2010, sono andata a dare un'occhiata allo store di Corto Moltedo, dove da qualche mese lavora una delle mie più care amiche, Ludivine. Tra tutte le meravigliose clutch (all'entrata c'è un muro di pochette) ero molto indecisa tra due modelli, ma ho optato poi per la clutch in serpente nero, che diventerà un must delle mie serate.
Nel pomeriggio ho poi assistito alla sfilata di Burberry che non delude mai e che mi è piaciuta maggiormente di quella di giugno: in passerella trench monopetto, montgomery con chiusure da valigia, giacche field extralarge e corte da equitazione trapuntate, bomber corti e degli accessori da urlo, dalle borse portadocumenti borchiate agli ombrelli in stile collage con il manico formato da teste di animali. Predominante il tema "Gentleman", con chiari richiami al luogo d'origine del brand.
Il mio look era formato da capi di due miei amici e grandi stilisti: il vestito di MSGM (ho appena ricevuto il mio ordine della collezione Cruise che adorerete) e le scarpe di Diego Dolcini. Eh si, non ho dimenticato di parlarvi della borsa: la Kelly nera di Hermes degli anni'80 che mi vedete al braccio in queste foto :) Dopo tante ricerche l'ho trovata grazie ad una mia follower francese, che ha deciso di vendermela: un classico intramontabile, e tutto grazie al blog!

Una volta iniziati i saldi online non me le sono fatta scappare, e quindi eccole ai miei piedi insieme all'intramontabile maglione di Isabel Marant (già indossato a Roma e persino a Shanghai) e con la Kelly vintage bordeaux, la mia prima borsa di Hermes, che avevo comprato nel 2009, appena prima di aprire The Blonde Salad. Sembrano passati secoli!

Burberry Prorsum surprised with a rather wintery Spring / Summer 2012 collection shown in Hyde Park at London Fashion Week. It was beautiful nevertheless.

Handcrafted was the topic and it showed throughout the collection on items such as the Whipstichbags, large tote bags, oversize clutch bags, small clutch bags, metal framed sling bags. Croco appeared next to raffia and crepe de coco to create an elaborated tension.

Designer Christopher Bailey introduced a new, high-waisted silhouette, playful, feminine and romantic at the same time. It seems as if he was thinking about beauty and holidays, continuing the feel of the Burberry Prorsum Spring / Summer Menswear collection. No should ever say Burberry can only do trench.

Handcrafted beaded and knitted crotchet collars, artisan raffia collars, wooden geometric applications, hand draped gathered silk organza and woven nappa leather strings showed attention to detail and some couture elements.

In terms of accessories, apart from the bags, it was mostly about sandals: There were woven wedge sandals, woven platform sandals, beaded platform sandals, woven wedge peep toe boots, crochet wedge peep toe pumps, pompom raffia caps, corset belts, waist belts and beautiful and fun hand stitched leather cord sunglasses.

It was given a retro feel through the colouring with shades in orange ocre, beetroot, chrome yellow, sapphire blue, chocolate, and turmenic underlined with music such as ‘I Put a Spell On You’ by Jeff Beck featuring Joss Stone, ‘My sweet Lord’ by George Harrison and ‘Everlasting Love’ by U2.
